Go back to the colour wheel!

Posted by Michele Maher on 21st Jan 2015

If you are wearing black or white or neutral, no worries on what to match with it, but if you have a bold, colourful outfit then……….

Go back to the basics of the color wheel. The three primary colours are red, blue and yellow. When you mix two primary colours together you get a secondary colour.........i.e. red and yellow make orange)

The Primary and Secondary colours that are side by side on the colour wheel are analogous to each other and will work well together as long as they have the same intensity.

But why not go all out and choose primary and secondary colors that are OPPOSITE of each other on the colour wheel???? … That will sure get you noticed!

  • For instance with a beautiful dark purple dress put on a Chartreuse coloured necklace set such as the one pictured here

  • And a bright yellow dress can take the impact of the dark navy crystals pictured here..

  • And a soft peach quartz necklace set like this would look beautiful with a soft mint dress like the one pictured below……….

  • And a simple forest green dress is perfectly complemented by the hot pink hues of this necklace set…………..

Think about this when you are dressing to make an impact at your next big event!
